A massive thank you to you both for your work on the Great Glen Challenge on Saturday! You really were a trooper keeping the energy going not only with a small group of participants, but also in the challenging and every changing weather conditions!
We have had some great feedback from the participants, many of them commenting on how the personal touch you brought was really nice.

Winton Trail Runs 2019

Despite the dismal weather on Saturday, the Winton Trail Runs were full of fun. You can just see my yellow suit, bought specially since Marie Curie were one of the charities being supported.

Janis Ward, race co-ordinator, from Winton Castle wrote on Monday after the event:

Professional, entertaining and accommodating as always. Same time next year!!

Janis, it’s in the diary for you!

We were delighted to be asked by Scurry Events to provide sound and compere services for their inaugural Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill 5K and 10K trail runs with a community festive fun run, the latter that helped raise over £800 for South Morningside Primary school and the Friends of the Hermitage.

Peter Ness, from Scurry Events, wrote the following day about Dougie:

Thank you again for your energies and top commenting skills on Sunday morning in the Hermitage.

The feedback has been fairly overwhelming and it is great to pin a Hermitage event on to the map.

Thank you for asking us along!

Parkinson’s U.K. Causeway Coast Challenge 2018

So wonderful to have received this last week:

“It was really great to work with you at the weekend too – all of the feedback from participants has been fantastic so far, and the atmosphere you helped to bring to the Start and Finish lines was a huge part of that.

Staff have all been really positive too – there have been a lot of comments that announcers at events can often start to grate after a while, but the praise for you has been universally great as you managed to keep spirits up throughout the whole thing! “

The weekend that was; looking forward to this weekend!

What a great event! Nearly 1900 people raising money for Macmillan cancer support at their Rob Roy Mighty Hike last Saturday. The atmosphere was fantastic and a delight to be part of.

Louise Needham, from Threshold Sports (the logistical delivery partners for Macmillan Cancer Support), emailed the following first thing on Monday morning:

“Just wanted to drop you an email and say a huge thank you on behalf of Macmillan, Threshold and the participants for your amazing efforts on Saturday. I have attached a comment from the Facebook group and it is the first time across all 8 events I’ve seen feedback for the commentator so well done!”

Moving forward, this weekend we are off to Ireland for Parkinson’s UK Causeway Coast Challenge on Saturday before Dougie flies back to host the start line in Glasgow early on Sunday morning, and thereafter the finish line from midday in Edinburgh, for Cycle Scotland’s Pedal for Scotland. 10,000 people…bring it on!
